Terms And Conditions
These Terms and Conditions include the agreement between you and Shenley Taxi. By booking a taxi and using our services, you indicate your unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
Definitions
In this agreement, "Shenley Taxi," "we," or "us" refers to the service provider, and "you" or "your" refers to any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.
Booking
2.1 You are responsible for allowing sufficient time for your journey to ensure you arrive on time. This includes airport transfers where you must comply with check-in times. Shenley Taxi shall not be liable for delays caused by your failure to allocate adequate time or your
unavailability at the scheduled pick-up time.
2.2 It is your responsibility to select a vehicle with an appropriate size to accommodate all passengers and luggage. We do not guarantee the ability to transport an excessive amount of luggage. Please note that, regardless of the child's age, they will be considered a single passenger.
2.3 Passengers requiring wheelchair access must request this at the time of booking.
Prices and Payment
3.1 Shenley Taxi provides quotes based on the information you provide. All prices, unless otherwise stated, exclude VAT,
which will be charged separately if applicable. We reserve the right to modify the quoted price in case of significant changes to the itinerary.
3.2 Our quote includes a 45-minute waiting period after the specified landing time and the cost of airport parking. Any waiting time beyond this period will incur charges at our standard waiting rate. While we make efforts to monitor flight details and adjust our service for delays, we are not obligated to do so.
3.3 Upon accepting our quote, you will receive a booking confirmation. It is your responsibility to review this confirmation for accuracy. Failure to notify Shenley Taxi of any inaccuracies may result in delays or additional costs for which we will not be held responsible.
3.4 Payment for our services can be made in cash, by credit card, or by debit card.
The Service
4.1 You are responsible for the behavior of all passengers during the journey. Any damage or soiling of the vehicle caused by a passenger may incur cleaning costs.
4.2 Eating, drinking, and smoking are not permitted in the vehicle.
4.3 All children in the vehicle must be appropriately restrained according to their age, weight, and height.
4.4 We are not permitted to carry more passengers than allowed by licensing or insurance.
Cancellations
5.1 If you need to cancel your booking with Shenley Taxi, please do so as soon as possible. Cancellations after dispatching the vehicle will result in charges based on the time and distance covered by the driver up to that point.
5.2 If you booked through our online system and cancel before the vehicle is dispatched, a charge may apply to the original payment.
Liability
6.1 While Shenley Taxi will make every effort to ensure you reach your destination on time, we are not liable for losses resulting from delays beyond our control. Under no circumstances shall Shenley Taxi be responsible for any losses incurred by you or your business.
6.2 Your luggage is carried at your own risk.
6.3 In the event of a breakdown during your journey with Shenley Taxi, we will endeavor to provide an alternative vehicle to allow you to continue your journey promptly.
6.4 You will not hold Shenley Taxi liable for any expenses, damages, costs, or losses resulting from any act or omission by anyone in your party.
6.5 No party involved can exclude or limit liability for personal injury, death resulting from negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful default, or any matter deemed unenforceable under applicable laws.
Termination
7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking immediately if any passenger or vehicle is put at risk due to abuse, violence, or damage from you or any other passenger. No refunds will be provided for journeys terminated during the hire.
Various
8.1 Shenley Taxi may subcontract its obligations as stated in this agreement. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer any of your rights or obligations under this agreement.
8.2 Shenley Taxi may amend these terms and conditions at any time by updating this page. Please review these terms regularly to stay informed of any changes. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.
8.3 We handle information in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988.
8.4 This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Shenley Taxi and you.
8.5 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to confer any advantage or benefit to a third party. No third party has the right to enforce rights under this agreement unless expressly agreed in writing.
Arguments
Any argument or claim must be made within 30 days from the date of the booking pickup. Shenley Taxi is not obliged to entertain claims or arguments made after this time frame.
